IMG_2245.JPG Just got back from Montreal after accompanying the other half for a week over there for work. Didn't bother taking pics going over, but took few on the return. Flew Montreal via Mineapolis into LAX, overnight then the VA 6 daylight home to Brisbane.

Row Two, YMQ to MSP. Decent legroom on the small e-jet type flight.

As it was a 1700ish departure, we were served "dinner". I chose the chicken salad ( forget what the other option was). Looked dry but was actually very moist!IMG_2249.jpg

2nd leg was from Minneapolis to Lax. Had to take row one in this one ( 737 Aircraft), so overhead locker space was an issue. Managed to get my carry on over row three where there was some room. Leg room pics .....IMG_2250.jpg

Dinner choice here was either the trout or the chicken. Had the chicken again, and a glass of the "white". Said white wine was quite foul so i changed to the "red" quick smart. have no idea what it was but it was acceptable. Other half had the trout.IMG_2252.jpg IMG_2251.jpg Delta crew were great both over and back. Refills proactively offered, as well as snacks ( pretzels, fresh whole fruit and sweets). Very friendly and professional.

Arrived into LAX at around 2200 Friday evening, and took the shuttle bus to the Hilton LAX. Traffic was crazy, so it took us around 40 mins to get there, then and to wait another 20 mins to check in due to the number of other pax also checking in.

Next morning was VA6 LAX BNE. Seat 11K. Was looking forward to the usual nuts, olives and edamame with drinks, but was not to be. Was some stuffed olives and 2 cheese ( parmesan?) cookies. Was quite nice though, with the Petaluma Chardonnay.IMG_2263.jpg

Brunch ( 2nd service) I had ordered the corn flitters with smoked salmon. Came out looking like mini pancakes, not so much a corn fritter. Was still very tasty though. Between meals I had a plate of the finger sandwiches ( chicken, mayo and something green in there too). Others I saw had some hot croquettes, served with a salad garnish and a sauce/mayo of some description. They also looked very good. Spent an hour at the bar just standing and chatting to stretch the legs. Overall VA is a favourite of mine, only real let down I find is that the IFE could have a bit more clout. In saying that though I managed to find enough to watch without having to resort to my iPad which I'd loaded up.IMG_2269.JPG
