Mojave Crash in Syd

Pretty chilling audio from LiveATC of the crash of the Mojave at Canley Vale this morning, the PIC seemed to be doing their best in the circumstances, cannot help but wonder what would have happened had Hoxton Park been open. My thoughts go to the pilots family and the folks at Airtex during this terrible time, and to the controllers at Bankstown who did their best, I hope you will get radar one day!

Bankstown controllers use the Mk1 eyeball to locate traffic and advise, in this case an accurate position would have allowed the controllers to provide the pilot with more details on alternate landing sites rather than saying "the M7 should be in the vicinity of you somewhere".
