MNL Suites

I'm dropping by MNL on an upcoming trip, and bringing together 3x managers for a meeting for 1 day.

Having done the ridiculously expensive meeting room option, and the "let's just meet in the hotel restaurant" option, I'm now giving the "get a big suite and meet around the table" option a shot.

Can anyone recommend a good hotel that has large suites?

(Ideally in Makati, ideally close to Greenbelt, ideally with reasonable room rates.)

If it helps, I have complimentary partner redemptions with IHG and HHonors that I haven't used yet. (Although it looks like HHonors is useless in MNL because there is no Hilton.)

Edit: Posting in this forum because it doesn't look like there are any general hotel boards - only hotel reviews, and hotel loyalty programs.

I haven't stayed there myself, bur several people where I work swear by the "Ascott" in Makati; it is certainly very conveniently located.

Having stayed quite a lot in Manila last year, in my opinion you can't beat the Shangri La Makati which addresses all of the concerns you have

the big name chains are quite expensive in Makati - there are a lot of cheaper options around, picasso boutique for example might be one (converted apartments to hotel rooms)

I really don't think the Shangri-La is the place to go to find an "affordable" suite...
