Hi,

Planning a trip from SYD - SIN(stopover)- PVG return and was just wondering if it was possible to fly from SYD-SIN in Y and the rest (SIN-PVG, PVG-SIN-SYD) in J class?

Reason for flying SYD-SIN in Y is because I'll be flying with 5 other friends and not all of us have points for that part of the journey.

Is it possible?

yes foggy it is possible - you will need to call SQ and make the booking over the phone - but they will still honour the 15% disc for your booking.

Mixed class rdpts are priced at highest cabin class in the booking - so SYD-SIN in Y / SIN-PVG in J / PVG-SIN-SYD in J will be priced at J rates for ALL sectors. Having paid J rates for ALL sectors then you will get access to SKL J lounge in all dep ports SYD / SIN / PVG / SIN - good luck and enjoy your experience.

PS - Do you like them that much?

Well if I have to pay J just to sit in economy, it is giving me second thoughts. Do you know if I am allowed to upgrade cash paid fares to J class with points if they are not on my nomination list?

couldnt you just do two seperate bookings? Book Syd - Sin in Y and then book the rest J? or does this use more points or something?
