Hi,
we are looking at taking the kids to Singapore. I am short 10000 points to take us all using classic rewards. Is it possible to book the two adults using classic rewards and pay for the kids on the same booking? Any way to allow this?

It's not the best value, but you could buy 10,000 Qantas Points direct from QF for $369 and then have enough points to book everyone on the same itinerary.

Otherwise, you can't mix and match tickets like that between passengers for the same flight.

What you could do is fly everyone Reward Economy one-way and mix that with a commercial ticket on the return with cash. Qantas will let you combine a booking like that on one ticket, although note that the more restrictive commercial fare rules will apply for the whole journey.

Not quite the same situation but same topic of mixing classic award with revenue so didn't want to open a new thread.

Looking to head to USM via BKK from SYD. Unfortunately cannot book the entire itinerary on awards (site won't let me I suspect due to being partly on Bangkok Air??) but would like to book SYD>BKK as an award and then pay the BKK>USM component. Any ideas from the brains trust as to whether this is possible as I know I could book them separately but don't want to do this as lose any protection with delays, cancellations etc.

the only way would be to book the more expensive "anyseat" reward as PG is not a redemption partner as yet
