Just arrived at T2 for a JQ flight from T2 in SYD which I haven't done for about 12 months...very happy I checked in online after being greeted by this:ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1374885749.952652.jpg

in comparrison to T3 (QF) .. T2 seems to be a very 'social' terminal ... maybe partly contributed to, by 2 major and expanding (albeit very different) airlines trying to 'share' the common restricted checkin area floorspace...and i think a JQ flight on weekends is more of a 'family/friends affair'..where EVERYBODY accociated with the pax comes to the airport for the farewell/arrival.. also im betting that there are way more combined VA/JQ flights at any one time than there are QF flights...with a roughly similar checkin floorspace.. so more bodies at T2 and less bodies at T3 ...just an opinion/observation

'Social' terminal...I like it!

The main issue this morning was 4 full JQ flights all departing at a similar time and only two JQ check in agents with a third trying to herd all PAX to the ultra-slow self-serv check in terminals.

My JQ flight departed from outback walkabout gate 56 which used to be where the Tiger flights used to arrive/depart...of course no longer there.

Hahaha 'social' terminal.

Very happy not to 'socialise' there anymore :)

Social terminal?

It is OK. I am a sucker for punishment. Booked another 10 Virgin flights before the end of the year.

It's like a barnhouse! Incomparable to the peace and quiet of QF at T3. Next Gen check was a wonderful initiative. Even with the upcoming move of QLink, I doubt it will feel much busier.
