Is a 2 and a half hour connection time enough at LAX? I'm potentially going to be comming in on QF11 to TBIT at 9:45, and then leaving on AA1520 at 12:15 from T4 next Friday. Is this enough of a connection time?

If you arriving flight is on time, then you have no problem. If this is a single ticket then I would be comfortable with that connection. If its separate tickets then its matter of how long a delayed arrival are you willing to accept.

Thanks for that, I'll be getting my TA to put it all on one ticket. I'm already book on AA152, but I was meant to be flying down from SFO that morning to make the connection, not flying in from SYD.

I've done 2 hours and will do this again in the future - all on one ticket though!

If everything is on time it works.

I think the MCT is 2 hours into LAX from Australia and 90 mins on the way out - eg BOS-LAX-SYD - that, all on one ticket with AA/QF needs a minimum 90 minute connection.
