Minimum connection time LHR after QF9 to BA flights

What’s the T5 airside security line like typically at 5:30-6am on a Saturday?

Other thing to note which is in your favour is that QF9 arrives so early. It is the first flight of the morning that doesnt arrive at T5, the next flight arriving at T3 is 30 mins after QF9, so as long as everything is ontime you'll make it as it shouldn't be busy yet if you stay airside.

This might be a reason to exit T3 through immigration and transfer completely landside, because T5 has a lot of long-haul flights arriving around that time. So I can imagine the transfer security stations in T5 will be very busy, as will the T5 immigration.

T5 transit security = T5 departures security. You get funneled into the same checkpoints.
Right. Except with OW Emerald, in which case I can use the First Wing at departures and completely avoid those crowds. But only if I'm landside.
