The view from my favourite seat in the lounge which overlooks the suites pool.

Around the gardens. If this is the view from a garden view room, not too bad! Nice and quite too.

Off to the main/lagoon pool today for something different

There are some rooms that have lagoon access. I originally thought this seemed like a bit of a novelty and would just lack privacy. As it turns out, most people seem to stick in the main pool and don't venture out around the lagoon area. Hopefully these pictures give you some idea of what they are about. My understanding is they are the same as normal rooms, just lagoon access. Not sure I'd actually pay the hefty premium.

When you go to both the regular and suites pool, someone brings you towels (if not already out) as well as a little basket with some bottled water, a menu and mist spray. I'd imagine you miss out on that if you sit off your own balcony.

The lowest floor of the main blocks have lagoon access suites, which are nice. They are the size of the ocean view suites with private pool on the 4th floor, but with direct lagoon access. They do lack privacy so you want to always check the windows. I prefer 4116 generally. It's a good compromise of space and private pool, unless one wants to shell out for the suites version of the same.

So house keeping would be shaking heads with the beds pushed together?
So as a pleb guest you can actually access all ground level pools..... If you feel adventurous? No keys, tags, id badge to produce?

The beds pushed together was fine. They had a giant duvet and sheets. All in all, I thought it was one of the best hotel beds I've ever slept in.

Yes and no about the pools. There is the main pool and lagoon pools which everyone can access. The suites pool is for suites guest (and I believe diamonds). No key required, so you could probably sneak in for a dip. The suites pool is much quieter (except when Americans were there) and no children under 12 are allowed. I loved the fact the pools are open 24 hours. A quick dip after dinner is always refreshing.

Camera is a combination of phone (HTC 10) and Olympus TG-3 (waterproof/tough camera). Laptop is a Toshiba 13" Satellite Ultrabook (3+ years old now).

And so, all good things must come to an end. We had no problem getting a late check-out of 4:30pm. We took a taxi to the airport which cost under $10.

At the airport the Garuda Sky Priority check-in queue was empty and we were served immediately. Presenting our Alitalia cards status was recognised. Priority tags and lounges passes given.

Garuda has their own business and first class lounge. I actually thought we'd be in the Premier lounge so was quite happy with a different option.

The lounge is upstairs, but open to the main hall. As a result, it was slightly warm up there.

As you enter the lounge, if you turn left there is the first class section. I poked my head in and from what I could tell there was a dining set-up as well as a seperated section for relaxing. It was empty (no first class on the flight to PER and no other Garuda flights departing that evening from what I could tell).

The lounge seemed pretty new with comfortable chairs. Plenty of power points and a half decent selection of hot and cold food. There was a single shower. However, I could not see any alcohol available. I didn't ask as I'd had an elegant sufficiently of booze of the last few days.

Tucked right around the far end of the lounge is a leg massager.

This dining area was on the same level as the lounge but separated (and unused). Not sure if its a future enhancement or for something else.
