mileage plus booking on TG

booked a TG F flight BKK to SYD for nex year

Have received an email from united with eticket number and PNR for the flight, but I can't seem to use the PNR on the TG site.

Is this due to them using different systems?

Had sort of assumed the star alliance members used similar GDS(?)
 
The TG number is different to the UA one. Just call one of the Thai Australian offices and they'll be able to give you theirs
