Wow, what a difference a month makes @Pushka , your experience is quite different to ours.
Do agree about the pool, never policed unless you asked staff to remove towels.
It is not in me to reserve a spot, either get there early and use the chairs or hit the beach - but it wasn't uncomfortably windy in June.

Although we did book Maguro one night as it was my birthday, didn’t need to for the other nights there or at Tamarind.

Agree about the breakfast buffet for the masses, a s^*t show, that is why Palace Club is so good.
A note though for Accor Platinum, for an upgrade to be considered, you need to book a Premium Room.
If upgrade doesn't happen, Platinum can eat at Tamarind for Breakfast, one drink and one main.
Also Platinum have access to Kintamani Lounge with canapes and coughtails 5.30 - 7pm.
We would go to NDBH again, but if Padma ticks your boxes,, go for it!

School holidays. Makes all the difference. They were supposed to be back to school after the first night but the hordes remained through our stay. . I imagine it would be very nice there otherwise.

Ah, good-ish. I had a bad experience at the Sofitel and am tossing up whether to go back, as they promised to look after me well if I did.

Hmm. It looked nice but I'm not sure Nusa Dua is my fav spot. I think I prefer at other places near Legian but in a resort that's like a haven where I can retreat to. So a bit of both.

Entry and exit immigration is super fast these days.

My fossils got cleared in Adelaide. It was kinda funny. I had put them in the luggage not carry on. We got our cases super quick and MrP rummaged for his jumper and me for the fossils to declare. I'd put a ? Next to the animal matter question on the form. We were far apart from the customs area doing this, and just near the belt. We were approached by one of the customs officers while our cases were open. She looked at my form and said 'I am fascinated by the ?" So I explained why I was rummaging then showed her the fossils. Before she saw them she said, you can pick them up from Hallet Cove. I said yes, but not these. She was rather impressed. She said to tick Yes, declare, she then scanned our passports (never had that done before) then gave me a green stamp so while we had to declare, we were waived straight through.

So those fossils. They are for the grandson who is 7. I asked Chat to prepare a picture of what they looked like.
Rather impressed. Grandson will love it.

Rustic is a good word to describe Nusa Dua Beach Hotel, think '80's floor tiles and old marble bathrooms.
Staff were exceptional but would certainly go Palace Club - all rooms are ground floor.
You would need to be specific about where though as some face right on to the path to the pool with little privacy.
Did write it up in the Accor Elite guest thread in June.

I don't think I mentioned. As we were boarding the TK flight from Istanbul to Bali, they said the flight was over sold and they were offering people €600 to take the next flight. They must have had some takers because finally we were allowed to board. There are several flights a day to Bali. I have no idea why so many.
