Middle East Airspace Diversions/Cancellations

I have noticed Iran Air is avoiding UAE/Qatar Airspace and no flights on EK through Iran as well but Fly Dubai is going through Iran...
I’ve seen this too and one has to wonder- why the heck would Fly Dubai happily traverse a country while Emirates does not? Different risk assessment depending on ticket price? Does anyone know what the reason could possibly be?

Maybe the pressure of the weighting of their business requires the route, with no reasonable alternatives - I know FlyDubai is the only 'mainstream' carrier up to the Stans.

I'm in LGW currently. My 0900 to SYD via DOH was pushed back to 0810 last week but is now back to original time. Could have had a few more ZZZs

Ps There is no dedicated OW lounge in North terminal. The Plaza Premium is pretty good. I checked in to lounge with my QR Silver (=OWR) which seems to give me quite decent premium drinks and a separate (quiet but dull) QR area. I guess it was a mistake on their part but I had my IB Gold (=OWS) anyway.

LGW N is a fun terminal. Nearly everyone is excited about going on holiday and heaps of hens and stags around
