How ironic that I've just finished watching an episode of Air Crash Investigations on TV, and here I am bringing to you the Air Rage Investigation on MH135:
I was seated at 1K and there was a family of 5 seated at 1A/1C (with bassinet) and 2A/2C. At first the middle seats 1D/1G were empty but just before we took off, a couple moved there from 5D/5G. All good until about 4.5 hours into the flight...
I was drifting in and out of sleep when I heard someone raising his voice (yes, it must have been loud as I even had my headphones on). It was Mr 2C arguing with Mr 1D. I heard something like "my son" and "your seat" so I assumed he wanted the middle seats in row 1 so that his young son could sit there. Mr 2C sounded drunk to me as I thought he was slurring his words. This went on until 2 male cabin crew had to step in between them in case they got into a fist fight. In the end, the couple vacated the middle seats in row 1 and the cabin crew helped them move all their belongings back to row 5. All the while I was wondering why it took 4.5 hours for Mr 2C to make a fuss if he had wanted those seats? And I dreaded the thought of having to divert somewhere. After that it was all "calm" except Master 2A was running up and down the aisle and was everywhere but those row 1 middle seats. He ended up sitting with Mrs 1C but it didn't look like he was strapped in during the final descent and kept pressing the call button then. And my colleague at work reckoned I would have the whole business class cabin to myself! How I wish it had been the kids-free cabin on the MH A380.
