I am now looking at my next Thailand holiday with Mrs in Jan next year (a bit early I know, but just can't wait). Thanks for the DSC offer received from QF, and my WA one-day status run tour, I am now a GOLD now (YEAH!).

Also due to my limited budget, and my OW status, my choices are limited to Y in either MH, QF or EK (Codeshare). I know there is CX, but looks like it will cost significantly more than the other three.

Currently, the fare is pretty close, MH about $1050, while QF/EK is close to $1300, I can actually get it down to a little less than $1000 through the "secret" .br site. So no much difference there.

I am more concerned about connecting time, seat comfort, Y cabin service, and lounge quality.

Connecting TIME: (MH win)
I am based in MEL, so an red-eye MH with a connecting in the morning will get me into BKK early lunch time. But to get QF/EK, I need to transit in SYD, which means either an early up in MEL (7.30/8.00am), or overnight in SYD.
Also the EK will arrive BKK at OMG 1.00 am (which will be 4.00 am at Melbourn that day).

FF Points: (QF && QF/EK win)
There is no argument here especially when I can get status bonus with QF

Seat:
I flew QF A333 many times before and to be honest the cabin is a bit tired after almost a decade, let alone the AVOD's quality. But I do like the two seats compared to EK 777 so don't need to sit with others for a window seat.
I haven't tried MH new A333 before so can't comment here, but I did fly its B738 once from MLE to KUL, which to my surprise the cabin is really good, comfortable and really good AVOD system.

Lounge:
Just recently acquired Gold, so no experience at all in SYD, KUL and BKK.

So that's my summary of all the comparison, and would appreciate anyone can provide me anything that I have missed so far, and in terms of the seat (new MH A333), cabin service, and lounge standard, which one is the best options for me here?
