MH-EK Transfer @KUL

Have tried searching but can’t find anything. However, apologies if it has been asked previously. Happy to put that down to poor searching skills.

Looking at possibly booking an award SIN-KUL-DXB. Approx 5hr transit in KUL and transferring from MH-EK (only realistic QFF option I can find to DXB on my date).

Is anyone familiar with the transfer process here? Pretty sure bags won’t be checked through. Can I complete the transfer without entering Malaysia?

Also have a seperate QFF award booking DXB-MUC 3.5hrs later. I guess the question is could they bag be checked all the way to MUC? Any need to try to have the bookings joined?

I would be surprised if MH and EK did not have an interline agreement, in which case your luggage would be checked through being on the one PNR.

If so the transit at KUL is easy, as like SIN and BKK they have security screening at the gate.
