MH 777 missing - MH370 media statement

Fly very low over the jungle, just above stall speed, open the rear most door 0.5m, toss the dead Paxs and all their carry ons out and close the door. They would then have more than enough fuel to reach Pakistan. Watched a 777 door opening video and it looked doable.
And that exercise would likely consume more fuel (flying low and slow) than the savings due to a lighter cabin.

It would also take two large Samoan bouncers about 2 hours!
Most were Chinese. Pile them up next to the 5 exit doors, descent, fly slow, open the doors a crack and toss them out. Probably do 6 - 7 a minute as they are right next to the doors. 2 guys working can then do 12 - 14 per minute or 18 - 20 minutes to do the task. Should not cost too much fuel as they then have a much lighter A/C for the next 7 hour run to Pakistan.

Fuel burn getting to sub 10000 level and staying there for any length of time would negate the savings, you would burn more in fuel weight than your throwing out in terms of savings.

All I can tell you (from being on the receiving end of a previous boss who smashed out emails during flight) is that a Blackberry connects at least five times between SYD and PER with sufficient service to get outgoing emails away (noting that BB uses much less bandwidth than competing platforms).
And that is less populated than the northern arc.

Accidentally left my phone on during a flight from Sao Paulo to Buenos Aires a few years ago and it rang about 2 hours into the flight. Immediate death glares from cabin crew. Turned it off and didn't answer, but it did make the connection at least momentarily.

And from a 777 pilot who tried to get a 777 to 45000 feet on a simulator.Doesn't really sound that easy.He estimates you would use an hours worth of fuel-

But then you do not need to worry about Paxs fighting back and taking control or crashing the A/C.
Maybe better to reduce that risk at the cost of some fuel, especially if this had already been well planned, as it seems it was.
As far as I can read the claimed FL450 statement stands.

Turning of the pressurisation will solve that problem. Going to FL450 makes sure they are out of air traffic more so than confirming the pax have passed, anything over 20000 will do that.

Even IF possible and I do not believe it is then you certainly would lose a lot more than you gained.

Low altitude flight equals high fuel burn and then flying just above the stall as you suggested would require a 'dirty' aircraft, moderately high power and further increase the fuel burn.

Simply not a practical option.

Anyone who saw tonight's BBC news in Hong Kong with video of Malaysian authorities dragging Chinese relatives away from journalists would have to question ever flying on MH again. What are they scared of?

I see only 2 options:

1) Plane is crashed and all dead.
2) Plane is in Pakistan or elsewhere, where if whoever took the plane tried to ransom the 290 Paxs, every military force on the planet would be after them, So not a good exercise.

Either way I suggest all the Paxs are dead.
So maybe better to die in your sleep than in terror as the A/C crashed.

I cannot believe I read that load of absolute excrement. That's minute of my life that are never coming back wasted on a load of insensitive and pointless tosh.

Moving on!

Malaysia Airlines Flight 370: Southern search area seen as most likely - CNN.com

-- Some data had been deleted from the flight simulator found at the home of the pilot, Hishammuddin said. Forensic work is under way to try to recover it, he said.
-- Malaysian authorities have received background information from all countries with passengers on board the plane except Russia and Ukraine. So far, no information of significance has been found about any passengers, Hishammuddin said.
-- Malaysia has received some radar data from other countries, he said, but "we are not at liberty to release information from other countries."
-- Reports that the plane was sighted by people in the Maldives are "not true," Hishammuddin said, citing the Chief of the Malaysian Defense Force who contacted his counterpart in the Maldives.

After reading this thread lately, I am becoming much more convinced that aliens took them.

At least its more plausible than many of the ideas being bandied about lately..
