MH370: Pilot the chief suspect in case of foul play

MH370: Pilot the chief suspect in case of foul play
He is known to have installed a flight simulator in his home, and police investigators now say he had programmed flights out into the Indian Ocean that involved landing on a small island airstrip. The data had been deleted from the simulator but police were able to recover it.
There is a simple explanation for that. MH used to fly to South Africa. Any pilot that might be flying a KUL-JNB route is going to want to practice with Indian ocean airstrips.

Why delete it and not the other scenarios? Not so simple.

And saddest - just such a sad sad sad event for those poor unfortunate souls on board and all there relatives and friends - so sad.
I think it is sad for all those following the progress or lack of progress.

Is someone or some country withholding information as to what has actually happened?

Very early in the investigation, there was mention of Diego Garcia being the "small island" programmed into the SIM. Strange how this new report is not willing to make any mention of the actual location and just makes very vague suggestions. Is this really new news? Or just recycling old info? Personally, I still think that if the aircraft did not crash into the ocean, then Diego Garcia may play a part in it disappearance. But that's just my own personal conspiracy theory, and those who know my theories of light and metric time will know that my imagination can be way more active than reality.

As was mentioned in the media weeks ago. Free up space on the hard drive.

Treat everything with a grain of salt you read in the media, after all hard disks are so expensive for pilots ;), especially at lo yat.

Don't forget to treat all comments on bulletin boards with a grain of salt too.

Not quite, depends on who posts them, their experience and qualifications. Forums more often than not are way ahead of the hacks. Time will tell ;)

I expect someone would squeal, if there is more to what we've read in the media.

That's a pretty appalling report, is it not?
Slim pickings, in terms of evidence.
To illustrate how gutless is this type of article, consider the following:

Boeing chief suspect in foul play.
A Malaysian police investigation into the disappearance of flight MH370 has identified Boeing as the chief suspect, if structural breakup is to blame.

Imagine the litigation. Gutless wonders.

Indeed. A good "reinterpretation" of the "facts".

Seems the search area has been moved further south, according to a news conference earlier. They released a 64 page report as well:

http://www.jacc.gov.au/media/releas..._Definition_of_Sea_Floor_Wide_Area_Search.pdf

Quite a comprehensive report and an interesting read that puts all the facts together.

There's a little part of still wondering about the sequence of airport codes PEK, PEN & PER, alphabetically sequential and following the supposed pattern of the flight. I'd be very happy to see this one debunked.

So the Malaysian government has announced who has been seleted for the next phase of the MH370 search.

With the only problem being:

Update In response to a query the Joint Agency Coordination Centre in Canberra has repearted the guidance of last month, that there will be a period of weeks fof tender evaluations prior to a selection being made.

Conclusion Australia and Malaysia are on different planets.
