Merging Priority Club Accounts?

I've ended up with 2 different PC accounts. I can't find a way to merge online. Is there a proper way to do this? Anyone done it before?

Will the promos that are currently on my main account apply to the new stay that credits from the new account or will my subscriptions to multiple 'unusual' promotions raise red flags?

I joined PC quite a few years ago, then lost the card and account number, etc. Last year I stayed at Rooty Hill HI and because I hadn't registered with a PC#, they started a new account for me.

I rang PC and gave them my surname and explained that I had a dormant account, which they were able to find (required address validation) and then merge with the newly created one.

A slight OT here.

I recently looked at status matching (courtesy of a FT thread) my HH Gold account to PC. Like Shano I had an old dormant account which PC found (inclusive of points) and they status matched me with Platinum PC status until the end of the year. With all the bonus points available via PC I should be able to keep both the Platinum PC status and HH Gold without too much worries.

An email request was sufficient to get the two accounts merged.

The transfer has been posted in the following format:

Points transfer xx_XX points
XX qualifying nights transfer

No idea if it's affected any promos I'm enrolled in - but definately didn't trigger any. Account balance is still the same really,

I've looked at getting Plat Comp'd, but presume it's a once off thing. Not staying enough in PC hotels to retain it, and will possibly want to use it a bit later down the track...
