Now that the Trans-Tasman Alliance is up is it possible to do Melbourne via Auckland to Norfolk Island and get the Velocity and Status points?

I think you could for the MEL-AKL leg if you booked it separately but the arrangements specifically exclude Pacific Island flights (i assume this is due to ACCC competition type reasons)

I'm sure you're right but Norfolk Island is part of Australia from a legal perspective, but their flights ex-Aus depart from the International terminal... :mrgreen:
 
I know that the Australian Government are looking at changing all the rules of going there. Currently you need a passport even if you are an Australian citizen. They are also looking at ways to make it cheaper to go there like cutting the departure tax. Maybe things will change once this happens,
