Melbourne etihad lounge access Q

Hi all. I am flying business class with Etihad from melbourne (booked with velocity points). My flight doesn't leave until 5pm but I am leaving my house at 9am as am departing from that residence permanently. If I get to the airport early eg 10am will I be able to get into the lounge to wait around or will that only be after I check my bags (eg 2pm onwards)?

You will only be able to get in 3 hours before as the lounge would be shut I would think. I would check your departure time too as EY flights seem to be at 1550 and 2215? The lounge is a nice one to spend a few hours in so enjoy.

Thanks for that. Yes you're right, it's 3.50. Guess I'll just go there early and wait for lounge access from 1300
