Apologies for the probably simple question, but having looked at the lounge access rules I can't quite work out the answer. I think the answer is - yes both have access to the business lounge or QP. But worth asking nonetheless.

Two pax flying Perth-Melb-Devonport (classic awards). No status held by either pax. First leg of Perth-Melb is in J, second leg Melb-Devonport in Y.

Access rules for the Business Lounge say:

[TH]Domestic Business
[/TH]
Next onward flight that day must be on a Qantas or Emirates flight.

Are the pax entitled to use both the QP or business lounge in Melb if they are arrive in J, and are continuing on in Y?

Thanks in advance!

No. As neither passenger holds relevant status they would only have access to the business lounge on departure from PER.

I would show the Per-Melb ticket and see if you can get in, it's Christmas

This worked with a colleague of mine although at the VA lounge.. It's worth a try

Virgin generally allow on arrive access, atleast with status anyway, so that is probably why. But I would anyway try, if they say no you have not lost anything
