I've just found out I will be heading back up to Taipei for a few days shortly. J policy for international, so that's good, but the customer will require cheapest J.

I can do MEL/BNE (QF), BNE/TPE (EVA) booked on single PNR through QF website. My question is, will I earn SC's on the EVA legs, or should I be looking for a cheap CX flight. Last time I flew to TPE, it was J on SQ but don't wish to repeat my flight home on regional equipped aircraft.

Cheers

Your avoiding SG but considering EVA based on the cabin??

Assuming shortly = a week from now, cheapest J appears to be on MH via KUL (which you could credit to VA). QF is substantially more expensive it would seem.

The QF flights I've found that are operated by BR have QF flight numbers, so full status credits/points/status bonus would be awarded.

I guess it comes over like that, but what I mean is I have done the SQ J from TPE to MEL and wasn't impressed SIN MEL with regional AC. I am happy to try something new being EVA if I get the SC.

@QFCSA, the only F I will get will be upgrades using points, or if the upgrad Gods smile, an OPUP

@Zac, within 4-5 weeks, that's short term for me

I found a few 4k fares on TG (I searched random dates 1/5-11/5). They are obviously *Alliance and l think that all J Class earn points in Star (but l'm not 100% sure).
If you fly with TG, just make sure it's one of their newer planes, not a rouge oldie with ancient IFE/AVOD, seats, etc etc...

Route was MEL-BKK-TPE vv
