Hi All,

Hope you can can assist with the following.

Better Half will be escorting her 75 year old Aunt to the USA in early September (dates tbc)

Aunts final destination is Greenville (GSP) in South Carolina.

The flights need to be business class. I've got about 200k velocity points at the moment so would like to use these, if possible, and also use Virgin & Partners for status & points earns.

We are flexible with the routes.

Dates are flexible, but expect to be flying out around 12th September

Melbourne to USA.

What would you recommend as best flight(s) to US? Given Aunts age and health I would like to break up the flight.

Thinking of flying Melbourne to Hawaii, they have a couple of days break and then onto mainland USA. Which would likely be LAX, but open to alternatives. Final destination is Greenville/Spartanburg (GSP).

After a week in South Carolina, Better Half flies onto NYC to spend a couple of weeks there. Likely be a Delta flight for the Status Creds and Points. Can I book the internal flights on my velocity points, if I go the RTW option?

USA to London.

Flying out of NYC to London around the 1st October. Doesn't need to be business class.

I'll be in London for work.

London to Melbourne.

Around the 21st October we both fly back to Melbourne. I'll be business class, so she will have to be same fare.

A bit full on and convoluted...

From what I have looked at I'm wondering if a business class RTW ticket might be a better option?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Steve

A bit confused here. Is Aunt buying a ticket and better half using points? Is Aunt returning to Melbourne? Hawaii is very hard to get in business class on points. Sometimes for elderly people it is better for them to get there rather than stopping for a day or two.
