MEL-LAX $9.5k return in F

As cheap as I've ever seen it. Usually with sales MEL-LAX only gets as low as $10k. Usual standard price is $15-17k.
I was looking for one way J fares on QF metal LAX-MEL for May was quoted $8.5k per person ONE WAY in J.

$9.5k return in F is a solid solid deal I think.

Interesting. Just tried and I get $29903.44 for two MEL - LAX in F for a trip in May and $33904 for trip March/April. Where's the special?

Pity I currently have a 50%+ SC offer which looks like it will go to waste.
