Now the next drama is that Emirates and Thai are both in ADL on the ground and need to get to Melbourne. But... ADL curfew is 2300 IIRC, i.e. in 15 mins, but i still see an A380 at the gate on the webcam

no sign of TG

edit: Thai seem to be taxi'ing to a bay now possibly wont make curfew

uae441 just flew over the top of our house right on the knocker of 2300.
I love being a nerd with this site and flightradar

Well it seems THAI and EMIRATES are stuck and won't get to MEL tonight? unless dispensation is given

Directly from the Dept of Infrastructure & Transport.

Sydney: The Act provides for fines up to $850,000 for a body corporate.
Adelaide: The Act provides for fines up to $170,000 for a body corporate.

Probably makes sense to give the curfew the bird for $170,000.

I'm sure the old talkback lines will be going in the morning...who wants to bet what is on the agenda for the next sitting of parliament..?

Taxi queue at Melb airport tonight was about 800m long at 1145pm. With about 2 taxis in sight. Never been happier to have driven... Those poor buggers will still be there.

skybus will be doing a roaring trade!

I have just spent the night with about 200 other people in the virgin lounge at sydney airport. The staff here are amazing. Everything else has been a schmozzle.

I was on cancelled va444 to adl. Luckily? Got cabcharge to Holiday Inn Parramatta and told to be up for 5am shuttle bus. Currently in a taxi as shuttle was a no show.5 of us on va402 at 6.45. We will see....Agree on the lounge angels. They were under the pump.

Mine was one of the last flights cancelled. No hotels left apparently. They opened the Lounge up to a hundred odd people stuck in the terminal when it closed. I'm on the 7am home to Melbourne all going to plan.

I think you will find dispensation was given due to the circumstances, hence no fine.
