Cruiser, Can you please add a +1 for me - The artist formerly known as Mr "Dow Jones" might be joining us also.

Between the two of us, I shall bring:

  • Taittinger Brut Reserve NV
  • Duperrey Premier Cru Brut NV
  • Duperrey Brut Rose NV
and maybe even a bottle of the "Blacky" Special Blend Limited Release Villages Champagne

Looking forward to it.

Would appear that you need to add my Plus One to your list, bottles yet to be selected for either of us. Thanks.

Would appear the 'the shadow' who appears below your name in attendee list is indeed your +1 - you are not dealing with kiddies like Tommy or pennygirl here ric - you are dealing with a grown up - you advise - I act - it aint that complicated.

And whatever you do please do not rush into bottle selection ric - this matter deserves serious consideration!

Sorry for late reply (didn't know whether I would be in Melbourne this weekend) but it appears that I am so will be in attendance.
I'll be bringing a bottle of Lanson Gold Label.

See you all Friday!

Oh Cruise-director I am disappointed that I am missing this wonderful event... I will certainly make sure I have a glass and think of you between yodels :)

May seem like a silly question but what name is the booking under since I haven't had the pleasure of meeting anyone as yet!

Have a great time all! Would love to make it to one of these as I do enjoy a glass of champagne.

It's okay - I will be sure to have a few bottles in your honour :p

And maybe even one glass for that unnamed dude.

After a day of travelling to the event, I'm not sure my champagne will be cold. What's the plan to chill the bottles before we start drinking?

Really!?

I was hoping to do my usual and catch the Broadmeadows train... is this not going to be possible?

Outrageous... You mean I need to do work on Friday???

The tram strike actually concerns me more, as that was how I was going to get from the office to Toppys... Maybe I should book my usual driver?

Yeah tram strike will be an issue for us too, getting from Flinder st to Toppys.

Careful how you arrive son!

For the record "my usual driver" is an accrediated hire car driver who operates a hire car in line with the Transport Act.

That said, there is talk that our company may cancel all non-essential meetings on Friday and ask all employees to work from home, which would change my plans entirely.

What about buses :p

If I take the Broadmeadows route, how will I meet up with you before the event?

Or does someone want to meet up with me before the event is a better way of saying that! :p

I land just after 1pm and was probably going to use some Arrivals access ;)

Don't think they were covered

Possibly. Depends on how quickly we get going.

Just had a look online and seems I'm in the clear for bus/train services.

So now I just need to work out how I'm moving from a train station to the restaurant and who I meet along the way :p

Don't particularly want to arrive with warm champagne.
