Hi All,

Just did a search on Qantas to fly bangkok return Departing 26th Nov Returning Fri 30th

The prices economy are showing:

Red e Deal $7515AUD

Is something wrong with the site now? Has anyone seen something like this beforE?!?1

Flexi is cheaper than red e deal ;)

If you do flexible date search you can see it's around the 2K area.

Looks like you will need to avoid choosing options that include Hong Kong airways (or find another airline!, or move the date a bit)

Does it have to be via SYD?

There's MEL-SIN-BKK-SYD-MEL for $1848 with a 3K flight number for SIN-BKK or $2023 for a QF flight number for the SIN-BKK leg.

Or plug MEL-SYD-BKK-MEL into the multi-stop planner and you'll get $1755 (but with a stopover in SIN on the SYD-BKK leg on QF1 then QF4210 on 3K SIN-BKK)

On a side note, interesting to see that QF are selling EK tickets if you wanted to do SYD-HKG-BKK with EK on the HKG-BKK leg.

Oh Thanks Caviack! Never noticed Qantas Selling EK tickets before you mentioned it!

I just find it weird that pricing came up? If it was that pricing would the only fare class available be the full fare price and not have all the options like red-edeal and saver etc? Seemed quite strange to me!

Maybe this route has gotten quite popular again and the downgrade from 747 to a330 isnt such a wise move?

Yes it is so popular that people are paying $7000 for it these days

Considering you could fly Thai Airways on the same date in Y for about $1400 return I don't think Qantas are going to be rushed off their feet with that one

Also noticed a second A330 on certain dates in JAN between SYD and BKK, departing about 30 minutes after QF 23/24
