Ahhh with joy and bliss I now have another medication to take. However this one is injection based and needs to be refrigerated.
As it has been eleventy billion years since I have travelled I am wondering how do I go about travelling OS with that medication thanks.

Do not rely on the airlines looking after it for you. I asked once and was told they wouldn't take the responsibility.

Depending on how big it is there are a number of things you can buy - eg I just bought something to hold my epipen

My friend is who is a diabetic got some plastic ice cubes that she froze and then wrapped her insulin in that.

You do have to be careful because you don't want your medication next to any too icy.

Just google containers for what you want to keep cold. If you need help either just respond or PM me

My mum has been in this situation with injection based medication. Needed to be kept cool but also couldn't be allowed to free. It caused her immense stress when travel required 20+ hours and transits.

She had some kind of soft esky container with cooling blocks (I think. I can find out more details if you like). In transit she'd try find a cafe and buy something and ask if they could put the ice blocks in their freezer and the rest in the fridge. My mum travels whY and no status (another story that).

As @VPS said, airlines weren't overly helpful at all.

I was concerned about using ice as it is a liquid.

By ice blocks I actually didn't mean frozen water. I meant those blue plastic thingies you put in an esky. Let me find out exactly what my mum used and get back to you.

A very good one. I have a stubborn mother who doesn't listen to my advice :)
