Congratulations, Greg. You're a cut above the competition - being the wankers at ACA who troll through here for material without having the guts to identify themselves. At least you've got the balls to state up-front who you are.

Just try not to do the usual hatchet-job and interview a pack of whingers who complain endlessly about not being able to get a SYD-MEL flight at 24 hours notice on a public holiday.....

Best to do some fact-checking on whatever claims are made by your "champion".

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Well done Greg :!: The honesty is appreciated.

If you look through this site you will quickly learn that there are a multitude of ways to earn FF points, and that this site probably has some of the best plotters around for scheming points.

As you will also see there is little consensus on the best way to redeem points or upgrades.

:D :(

A warning from America

A Wall Street Journal reporter was lurking on one of our miles forums. He found out about a ploy lots of us were using that was using purchase of money orders to buy very cheap miles. It was or should have been clear to all of us that somone was losing money on the deal, and that our ploy was not what was intended by those giving miles. But some talked with the reporter, and the ploy was described in our national business newspaper. Sure enough, the ploy was shut down promptly.

I think it is wonderful that people will share legit ideas with others in order to encourage travel. I think that travel is the key to world understanding, and therefore world peace. Thus my American based web site below. (Sorry. Not much there for you guys. But perhaps one of you would be interested in starting a simliar site for Australia and/or the South Pacific.) But be careful about what you post here. Giving publicity to a not so legit ploy, even though its legal, might make it disappear. And for heaven's sake, don't talk to reporters about it.

I love your forum. I hope it expands.

A really good site Gary. (Particularly now you've learnt to spell QANTAS) :!:

I had a good teacher. Thanks.

So, how do you pronounce it? And how would an American pronounce it? (We are two nations divided by a common language...) :?

I'd say to pronounce it as you originally spelt it, Quan - tas
