My friend who was traveling with me (had access) ditched me for my overseas trip last minute.

I just purchased a membership.

25 May SYD 7:05 T3 - Guest 1 (if I go early do you think there is chance to get on an earlier flight?) - so this is the first qantas flight on Saturday :-/
25 May BNE 8:35 Int - Guest 1 (I have 1h 30 mins to transit from domestic to international ... I may get 0 lounge time, we will see).

Depends on the fare class of the ticket. If it's a red-e deal/sale fare then normally they won't switch you to an earlier flight.
As a SG I was rejected at the check-in counter and sales desk but tried again in the lounge and they said they were happy to move me to an earlier flight, this was however with HLO.

Have two good friends flying out on Friday this week to LA from melbourne and looking to see if anyone can guest these two loverly ladies into the F lounge or even the J lounge as this will be their first experience of the lounge. Please PM if anyone can assist.

I have a couple of these bookings coming up as well. I have noticed that since Emirates came on board the booking engine is only offering the one connection SYD-BNE-SIN where as before I was getting 3 connections.

You can try calling to change flights but I think they are more than likely going to charge a change fee to change the date of travel.
