Maximising Status Points - SYD to LAX

I don't travel AirNZ too often, I was matched to their GE.

Anyway its 85 status points in J from Syd to Akd and 300 from Akd to LAX.

But on the table it says it's 305 from Eastern Aus to North America... to get the larger status points do you just book seperate tickets and run the risk with delays etc?

Separate tickets tends to work ;) ... until you start accumulating a significant amount of SP's.:(

Even if they credit separately one day; you may find some time later that it changes.:-|
