I am a Bronze Qantas FF, Enrich, Kris Flyer, Aegan Points and UA member. Most of my points are in Qantas FF program. Soon I will fly:
QF 93 MELLAX S
QF 3789 LAXYVR S
/AC 102 YVRYYZ W ( currently registered with Aegan points but not sure this is worth it unless I can collect 20,000 miles in 12 months to gain Gold status)
AC 92 YYZSCL W
/
QF 322 SCLAKL S
QF 152 AKLMEL S

My goal is to accrue points for Melb-Europe return flights. I have very few points on Enrich, United KrisFlyer or Aegan.

What are the best ways to accrue points from this trip?
What opportunities are there for lounge access on this trip?

If most of your points are already in the QF freq flyer you may be better crediting MEL/LAX/YVR & SCL/AKL/MEL to them however with the recent devaluation effective 01 July I would certainly have a look if it's worth crediting the QF flights to AA instead because a) the taxes for AA award tickets are way cheaper that QF Classic awards & b) you can purchase up to 60K miles per year through AA (sometimes 75K if there's a promo) which makes premium travel like business in the affordable bracket ie much cheaper than buying a J ticket.

A lot of people on AFF have reported that they don't feel it's worth using QF points to buy economy class travel overseas as by the time you add in the substantial airline fees, charges & taxes plus the points required for the award ticket there may be very little cost in purchasing the fare outright which of course will accrue points when you travel.

The AC flights YVR/YYZ/SCL I would credit to Avianca Life Miles who are a Star Alliance member but do check that 'W' class on AC will accrue points with AV. IMHO you could do more redemption wise in the *A camp with AV LM rather than crediting them to Aegean, SQ or UA plus like with AA you can also purchase a substantial amount of miles each year.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
