I found better routing home via DFW, but stupid website wont let me make changes online, I am on hold hoping the last J seat on QF7 doesnt disappear whilst im on hold

CX must have released a stack of seats, because no matter where in the world i search, im always offered CX J even if it means flying halfway round the world and back again

They have! Lots of options out of Europe to AU now :)

When I called they said wait time was under 30 minutes, yet 90 mins so far, argggh they really need ot fix the website. I have to go out in 20 minutes.

^^^Edited to add that took 2 hours to answer, then 45mins for them to change the date of one flight, add a US domestic flight, cancel JFK-HKG-SYD and replace with ORD-DFW-SYD. No chnage in points, but $30 more taxes on QF8 but happy to have 21 hour trip home instead of 31hours. My brunch dates had to wait an hour for me, luckily being family they were forgiving.

Hi all,
I have found a flight using points I want but each time I get to the end it says error… Sorry if this has already been discussed but I have Been on hold now for 2 hrs 45 with Qantas ..It is out of Brisbane to Bologna for 2022.. Does anyone know the reason of the error .. I remember pre covid there was sometimes this problem and they called them phantom flights ?? .. Help !!

There is no QF flight BNE-BLQ. Are you connecting somewhere, flying LHR-BLQ (with BA). Is that right?

In any case, once you are able to speak with the Call Centre, you will know whether there’s seat availability for your dates.

As for phantom availability, there’s a known issue where the QF website may show flights where there’s actually no availability. So, if the Call Centre can’t see the flights then that’s the end of it.

sorry it’s with Emirates..But using Qantas points … Brisbane Dubai / Dubai Bologna .. It’s comes up Available as one complete search and also as a Multi search … Cheers

Hi, hopefully on the right thread! I've tried several times over the last 2 days to book 2 Economy Qantas Classic Award flights-domestic, for two elderly friends who are not too good on the computer. They are both showing as 10,000 points each plus fees, for 2 flights on Jetstar, via the Qantas website. Everything goes well until the final page when it comes up with a ERROR message, when I return to the search page the Rewards have disappeared, only to return the next day!

Is this an issue with the Qantas website, is it intentional on the part of Qantas, or am I just making a mistake somewhere, which I doubt. Any thoughts would be most welcome. Thank you.

Very likely, but no certainty that it' Qantas error, QF are ballsing up their website booking & IT of late.

Many AFF's have posted their problems anything to do with bookings of late, myself included.

I tried to book through Qantas Business Rewards page last night and encountered a similar problem. When I tried to rebook, the award seats were still there but the system erroneously stated that I don't have enough points (which is not correct as my balance is 3x the points required. At another failed attempt, my point balance was reduced by the points required for the failed booking.

I abandoned the booking attempts and logged in earlier today. Luckily, it was a smooth ride today to get my bookings done.

Hope you will have a similar favourable outcome.
