Just booked a flight thru Amex using Points on MAS from Istanbul to KUL and then from KUL to BNE. Planes used are 777-200 and A330-300 . Found out that it is not possible to select the seats yourself and you have to call up MAS who are very vague in what is available. What are good seats to choose for economy on these planes? and what tips do you have for getting perhaps a '4 across' seat to allow you to sleep during the flight? We chose row 21 which A and C which was 1/2 way back and away from the toilets and the bassinets....

The seating arrangement on the B777-200ER is 2-5-2. I would say the aisle in the middle 5, and the center seat in the middle 5. Hope no one seats in between you. Also they tend to fill in seats from the front, so choose seats at the back.

The seating arrangement on the A330-300 is 2-4-2. A little bit more difficult on this one.

Another idea is to check out Optiontown upgrades.

Hadn't heard of OptionTown upgrades before so googled them.

Malaysian isn't listed as one of their airlines so that won't work.

Dale.
