Hello, I have a flight to New York (via Doha) marketed by American Airlines and flying via Qatar airlines to and from Doha and American Airlines to and from Doha to NY. They are all AA flight numbers. I would like to credit my points to Qatar Airlines rather than AA if possible. I am fairly sure its ok but would like to ask the experts :) if they could kindly confirm whether its allowable to do this? Any and all answers are appreciated, thank you :)

Yes, should be fine. OW operated and marketed (even though different) is generally fine across most (if not all) OW FF programs - so long as the fare class earn points/status to begin with.

Those JFK fares ex CGK are a cracker of a deal - if that’s what you’re doing?

Hi SYD and thanks so much for your assistance. Yes you are right that is the flight I am doing and its just too good to pass up, especially in business class. At this stage unfortunately it is showing both flights on Qatar as non Qsuites, so I am hoping for an aircraft change but even if it doesn't happen, I am really happy with the fare and flights and gaining some good status credits on Qatar. Thanks again for your post. BY the way the fare is D class so should be able to earn points and status credits.
