That was very easy today. Zoom into the relevant city on the satellite map and stab a fat finger at the middle of the urbanisation. Well, except for the final guess: that one was a “well I know Maputo is about here so it’s sort of close to that”. Now I really want a perfect score!

Have been playing TimeGuessr a fair bit over the years so I think that helps with relative positions of places.

I don’t feel so bad now with a score in the low 700s. One response I got was “at least you chose the right continent!”

More than I deserved. 1 complete guess, 1 rough guess ... partially offset by 1 mis-click (missed Japan entirely ), and that last one - Somalia ... you either guessed the north or south bit, then you couldn't be far away ...

Only the last one was a guess. Most people in Russia live west of the Urals so random guess in the centre of that part of Russia turned out okay.
