Hi there - 1st time poster, long time reader. Have a question for knowledgeable AFF-ers.

I am flying MEL-AKL-LAX in December. By then I'll be Velocity Gold (dropped from Platinum :() and Turkish Miles&Smiles *Gold (thanks to their great status match program!).

My question is, which FF program should I give Air NZ to maximise my potential for upgrades (unlikely I know), points/SCs, and lounge access. If it's about equal, I'll probably go with Velocity because I'm more likely to use the points, but thought I'd check in case *Gold get treated better than Velocity.

Look forward to your advice!

EDIT: should also add baggage allowance in as a key factor to consider as well.

Well, for baggage, *G get additional world wide (generally).

Out really depends upon the booking class of each segment and what the Status earnings would be en tradition in relation to that for each program.

Posted on a wing and a prayer ...

Doesn't Aegean have the least requirement to attain *Gold??? Don't know what their earn or burn rate would be as to whether you could do anything with the points once there...
