Last year I took the status match offered by VA as it appeared that I may be using them for a few flights, but they didn't eventuate and I subsequently dropped to Gold a few months ago.
I now have a booking with them; ADL-SYD-LAX return, and I'm trying to do advanced seat selection with no success! My first flight is in 12 days time, so I'm within the 14 day window for seat selection.
My booking was made through our corporate travel agency, and I have been given my PNR (3WMxx_). I've checked in CheckMyTrip and the PNR is showing in the ADL-SYD flight next to "Confirmation number: Virgin Australia International 3WMxx_".
When I go on the Virgin website to 'Manage my booking', 'Retrieve booking details' and enter the Confirmation number (3WMxx_) and surname, a pop-up windows states it is 'unable to locate the itinerary'.
If I use my Velocity number in place of my Confirmation number, it comes back with the first leg of my itinerary (ADL-SYD), but with a different Confirmation number (Y9Exx_). If I click on that, it then states; "Sorry. This booking has more than 2 flights, Virgin Australia only allows you to view or change bookings with 2 or less flights. For further assistance, contact us".
I've contacted both our corporate travel agent and Virgin who haven't been able to explain why I can't access on-line; does anyone here have any suggestions?
