Malta Sicily Belfast Cornwall and a few others in between

Thanks @VPS I have taken notes :) I appreciate the information and I do like French food.
Ok finally catching up and here are the rest of the Ortigian restaurants.

Sadly not too many photos

Enoteca "A putia delle cose buone" | Siracusa, italy

Not a fancy restaurant but recommended by my landlady and was very good. They don't take bookings but it's not a place that you would linger over.

My diary says

Had pasta bread was provided with a bottle of water and two glasses of wine and it came to €23.

The next one is the one not to go to - I just had a hot chocolate and asked for one of the small pastries. Firstly they forgot to bring the pastry and then they bought the wrong one. They were just rude and when I went into pay they just ignored me and I heard them say something about serving the Americano which they obviously thought I was

It's obviously in a prime spot looking at the Duomo and in a lovely square but I think they rely on the location rather than their food and service

This a small restaurant with a limited menu but the staff and the food were excellent and all freshly prepared. I've noted the bread as being divine and I had the meatballs.

Casa Trimarchi – Ristorante in Ortigia a pochi passi dal Duomo

The last one was JOBI, Syracuse - 2025 Reviews & Information

Dinner at Jobi. I had a pasta with pistachio sauce which was very good and a tiramisu and a couple of wines which were okay but weren’t really to my taste. The bread was okay.

So that's the restaurants that I tried in Ortigia.

I couldn't recommend any of the ones I visited in Taormina except for Bam Bam 0334.JPG
