This is a shortish TR on Malaysia Airlines' latest A330-Neo.

MH129, KUL-MEL, 09:20-19:25, Business Class.

This was my first trip on a MH A330-Neo. It was mostly a pretty nice experience. Both the hard product and the soft product are pretty good.

MH cabin crew were, as usual, excellent.

It starts on board with pre-departure drinks. Including champagne. And a cold towel. The amenity kit contains some Payot products and socks, eye-mask and toothbrush. A seat topper and a quality blanket are at the seat. A large bottle of water is also at the seat. There are no pyjamas.

Legroom is excellent length wise. It's still a little bit cramped width wise at the foot area. It was no issue for me.

The screen is large and sharp and responsive. A pair of reasonable quality headphones is supplied although you can use Bluetooth to connect your own. Charging options include wireless charging. WiFi is free and worked quite well but only over land.

After take-off, crew then come around and hand out slippers. They are of good quality and come in several sizes.

You can then use the privacy door, if you wish. I noted that the crew went around and closed them anyway, once the first meal service was over.

Something I wasn't too happy with was the lack of individual air vents. I do like to adjust them to suit me!

The other thing that concerned me a bit was the general lack of storage around the seat area. There's not that much of it. A spot for a large water bottle. And some space for some smaller items. And there's a shelf below the window if you have a window seat.

The first meal service is a "brunch". But I knew, as I would be up very early, I would more want more of an early "lunch". So I booked a "Chef on Call" meal.

The Grilled Beef Medallion. It wasn't bad at all! Not the best ever but nicely cooked and presented and NOT tough as old boots (haha).
