Macquarie card (was the Hilton Macquarie card)

Hi - hoping someone may be able to help me.

I have a $10k limit on my card and there is $8K owing on it and I want to put a $4K purchase on it. If I deposit $3K to cover this and then allow a bit of leeway, will I still get Qantas points for all my purchases?

Well, yes. But at some point the earning rate drops from 1.00 to 0.5 QFF points per dollar spend within a statement period.
