Hi all,

Looking to catch the last ferry from Macau to HKIA which according to TurboJET is 19:45 for HKD254.

This is because my flight from HKG to LHR is with Virgin Atlantic at 23:55.

Wanted to know if anyone has caught this ferry and how easy the process is? Been reading about it and something called the Skypier at HKIA??? Here's a photo of the apparent steps involved (Sea-Air)

I've done it a couple of times and it's as easy as it gets. Relax, the process will be like the rest of HK - great.

Don't forget to collect your Hkg tax refund at Skypier :); currently, HK$120 per passenger (12 years of age or above)

Sweet!! I’m sure it is easy, just making sure it’s all straight in my head before getting there hahaha. What’s the go with luggage ? Or is it all explained there ?

That tax refund is unreal, half the ferry ride cost

You should be able to check your luggage in and collect your BPs at the Macau ferry terminal for your flight from Hkg to Lhr :)

I would buy them in advance given that you HAVE to be on that partic. ferry.

(and within a year the crazy 55km Zhuhai - Hong Kong - Macau bridge and tunnel will open. It's the roadway and bridge stretching out to the sea near one end of HKIA)

The definition of a white elephant!

I have done this ferry trip a couple of times now. Very painless including checked luggage.

Departure tax refund a nice bonus.

If its typhoon season there may be delays, but otherwise its generally a reliable and good service.
