I would guess that the average punter does not understand the issue, does not have the brains trust of experienced travellers that we have on here and even LE mentioning it will scare the horses.

Which then raises the question of why not refer to this or cut and paste the comment when the question is asked. Much quicker and easier as opposed to deleting and eroding confidence in the brand.

Just back to LE's holiday offerings, today I rec'd a Borneo tour. What's really annoying is that if one goes alone, you have to buy x 2 packages and seeing as it includes airfare, it seems extreme single supp. 9 Days from AUD$1,999/person.

Agree re the double airfare. Accommodation I can understand.

I posted my question, as I’m in the LuxEscapers group, but now I can’t see where that Q has gone.
I was having that problem at another Facebook page yesterday.

At the top left hand side of the posting area where you see the word "Relevant", click on it and change it to "Newest", then see if you can find your post.

Also, if you click on the down arrow next to the question mark at the top of your Facebook page, the Menu shows "Activity Log" which should show the question you posted, which you click on to take you to that area where it is posted.
Regards,
Renato

Can’t do that on iPad I’ve found. Rather annoying.

I got quite interested till I read this part,
"Flights: Return economy class airfares from Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane are included in the package with Malaysia Airlines, Royal Brunei Airlines, China Southern Airlines Malindo Airlines and Air Asia. Please note airlines are at complete discretion of Tour Provider. Maximum travel time is approximately 30 hours".

Then I lost interest.

Yes, same here. I just tried it in a browser in Android. I could find the Activity Log in Settings, but haven't been able to find how to set Newest threads. I even set it to desktop mode, but that didn't work (unless I missed some other way of doing it).

Which is why I always carry a small Windows Netbook with me when I go overseas. Phones are often frustrating.
Cheers,
Renato

Or just go to your name on the top menu (next to Home) and you can see all your posts.

Has anyone heard of any recent gossip about Norwegian Air Shuttle?

There was an article about two weeks ago saying the they might not see the year out. (2018)

Only if I click on "Activity Log", otherwise I only see my posts on my own timeline - not on anybody else's timeline.

So would I. I think LE are good at negotiating accommodation deals but I don’t think they care enough about the flight component. Just look at the airlines in this case. There is a huge gap between Malaysia Airlines and Air Asia, for example. When I have called them in the past and asked if I got a choice of airlines, their response was that they could try. Which means no.

I just did a chat with someone called Callum on why this could possibly be 30 hours, and whether that means that a nine day trip becomes a six day trip. He said that the travel time does not impact the time in country.

It would depend on the day that you travel and how the connections are. Obviously you might need to narrow it down to a particular date to try to find out that information from them.

Yes, with budget airlines like AirAsia being in the mix, it becomes a deal killer for my wife and me - having had back operations. I'd fly with AirAsia, but I'd have to get in early and get their more expensive larger leg-room seats up the front - which all seems a tad difficult when done through third parties.

I wouldn't mind seeing this offer without the airline price included.

Renato

I just can’t see this. I have done it with the iPhone but the iPad doesn’t have this option that I can see. I’d really like it if it did as you say so hope I’m wrong.

Probably should be in another thread.
But 1000s of pages on airliners predicting their denise or sale to IAG
Similar with Jet in India

Ah so you want to see them in the newsfeed. Understand now.
It happened to me yesterday when I posted on the AirAsia Support Site on Facebook, which had over 400 other comments. AirAsia replied and I was notified, so I went back to their page and I couldn't find my question or their response because the posts were set to "Relevant". After searching "Help", I find out about setting "Newest" and found my comment and their helpful response.

Thanks for that. I didn't think that the possible very long travel flight time would chew into the itinerary time, but apart from being onerous in and of itself, I suspect one may still be feeling stuffed by the time the Orang Utan tour started, making it a bit of a waste of that day. Many of us aren't young anymore.
