Luggage transfer from Singapore Air to Silk Air

Hi,
I have booked a flight via Virgin from SYD to SIN (via BNE)
SYD to BNE is with Virgin, then BNE to SIN is with Singapore Air. That's all on the one ticket.

We arrive in SIN at 9pm, and the next morning leave for Danang, Vietnam at 9am. So the plan was to stay at the Ambassador Hotel within the Airport and not clear immigration.

The flight at 9am from SIN to DAN is with Silk Air.

Are we able to have our checked luggage transferred from SYD to DAN when we check in at Sydney, or will we have to collect our luggage at SIN?
If we have to collect our luggage, we have to clear immigration and won't be able to stay at the Airport Hotel.

Ive done this, when I checked in at Sydney I told them we had Silk Air flight ect and they checked the bags all the way to Cambodia for us (SYD-SIN-REP).

Otherwise, according to Changi website, you can check in for Silk Air 24hrs before your flight so worse case, you pick up bags, check in at T2 and then go airside gain.

I'm not a seasoned traveller (yet).
Just checking the websites - worst case scenario, as you say - I'd be able to collect luggage, do electronic check in, and automated bag drop (I hope!!)
