I would suspect the seafood rather than the water for the Ramses Revenge - sorry I should have warned you to stay away from that. Apart from that and the taxi haggling it looks like you had a pretty good time.

And having spent half a day at the Egyptian museum in town we chose to not go. We did pass it on the outbound taxi trip -its big and its Grand and it’s some distance from the pyramids (especially if going to the Sphinx entrance)

Orf to the Markets via the Metro

Zamelek north was only serviced by Metro from October 2022 but handy to the hotel

Rough sleeping even of children was highly confronting
