Loyalty list

Would someone be able to tell me which cruise lines “go together” for cruise loyalty?
Airlines seem so much easier to find info on (one world Vs Star Alliance as the major players)

I know that none of the Carnival owned brands allow loyalty points to be credited from other Carnival owned brands. eg Cunard, Carnival, Holland America, P&O, AIDA, Costa. Each loyalty program is separate.

There's no alliance in the cruise sector so no such lists exist. And the model is different; most loyalty is lifetime so it's not desirable to extend that other members, whereas air loyalty requires ongoing commitment, and often multiple partners to complete a journey so for those reasons it is beneficial.

If you have Carnival shares then you get a discount across all brands. I bought some in May for $13.50 US and they are now $21.58 so I assume people think they are going to cruise again.

I bought some for USD20 during the March 2nd to March 16 2020 cruise to NZ. Wish I'd bought more when they were under USD10.

Reason for the question was that we have booked a 22 day cruise 2022.
Currently ”Ruby” with Princess.
Only need 1 more cruise to take us to next level, so I am trying to find the shortest/cheapest cruise before March 2022 to get us up in rank for the big cruise.
But I have to make sure it’s on a boat / company that will add this short cruise to our tally.
My husband is calling it a “status cruise”

P&O is your only other contender for that. They have many short cruises, so you should be able to find something that suits.
