Whilst I would put extra bagge as a benefit I value, in reality I don't think I've ever made use of it. So I wouldn't necessarily say this was a significant cost to Qantas - for me at least. I'm not likely to check in an additional 20 or 30Kg just because I'm entitled to. Others may make more use of this benefit than I do.
