Lounges at CAN as Velocity Gold

Hi,
i just dropped to Velocity gold and am flying next week SYD-SIN-CAN-SIN-SYD on SQ (all in Y). I am ok with lounge access in Syd and Sin but any ideas if there is a lounge to use in CAN ?

you are out of luck in CAN. Must be a SQ operated lounge for VA gold .. they do not have one

And so it is: the Premium Lounge - A shared facility & a sure respite to the 'harshness" of CAN terminal.

Lovely lady at Premier lounge was quite adament I was not allowed access. Her lack of skills in the English language and my non-existing Cantonese made a discussion about this impossible. Worse no other bar in sight either......

always good to have a priority pass up your sleeve as most lounges in chinese ports seem to take them

IIRC I was there last year, and the temp lounge on the left as you head down was accepting of either Diners Club or Amex customers, cant recall which now. But I only discovered this as I was about to board. Had a peak in, and didnt seem too exciting.
Not a whole lot of other options after coming through passport control, so with the exception of avoiding long lines at security, I would hang out in the main terminal as long as possible if I were to go again. Unless the temp lounge is gone and something a little better was available
