Hi All

Sorry if this has been asked before, if it has just link the thread and I'll take if from there.

The wife and I are going on our first trip the the USA, We depart BNE to LAX in J. Due to timings and wanting a Non stop flight we then head off to MCO on Delta in First class some 4 hours later.

I only recently found out and to my great surprise that Flying F with Delta does not grant you lounge access. Both my wife and I are SG members, what are our options for getting into a lounge. Is it going to have to be a pay option, or could I chance it at the AC with AA

Any advice would be great

Thanks :)

You will not have access to the AA lounges as the Delta flight departs from a different terminal at LAX and security rules at USA airports only permit passengers with same-day boarding passes for departures from that specific terminal to pass through the security screening point. So your QF/OneWorld status will not help get access to a lounge at LAX. Only option will be if Delta offers a paid lounge access and I don't know if they do or not.

I have an ANZ Rewards Black, but had a look and no lounges in the USA.

I guess we will evaluate the comfort level when we land and decided if the day pass is worth it. Lucky all our other flights are with AA.

Thanks all for the responses, great to get some expert advice.

Without having been in the LAX DL club, you will get better food for your money out in the terminal. The kicker really is if you want a shower after the long haul.

Out of interest (and OT) we're doing that flight in June, when are you travelling?

Thanks Tom, I guess if we get into the Qantas PJ's as soon we board, we can push on to MCO

We are flying in March, Ill give you an update after the flight if you would like? Bit bummed, it looks like an really old 737-800 with overhead entertainment :(
