Hi guys , pretty sure I know the answer to this but Im not 100%...
I have just bought a ticket for Melbourne to Sydney and upgraded to Business for 10k points ....
Does this give me any lounge access ? I'm probably not going to be at the airport long enough anyhoo but thought Id ask :)

Could you elaborate ? Does a business seat automatically grant business lounge access ? Im only a lowly Bronzy and I am the first to admit I really dont understand the club, status and lounge situation very well at all.
The business class ticket grants you access to the business class lounge prior to you flight - its one step up from the Qantas Club. If you haven't been before it is worth calling in if you can - the food and drinks are complementary

Edit - I have assumed you are flying QF - same apples to VA but I believe they only have one level of domestic lounge

Well thats a great little bonus that I didnt know I was getting , Ive been in the standard lounge before , it will be nice to see the next step up.
Thanks for all the helpful replies :)

**Standard lounge**...?,
You mean MEL T1 for QFd?
Don't forget, that they have rearranged the whole ship, that is the QF's lounges at MEL T1.
Where the "standard QP" used to be, its now the J lounge, you turn left after coming up the escalators, if you turn right, you go into the MEL QFd QP.

I was in QF Biz lounge in T-3 in SYD a few weeks ago and there was almost nothing to eat at 11.15am. Never experienced anything like this at QC. When lunch was delivered then it was like Aldi on a Wednesday morning when weekly specials arrive. Really disappointing as QC seemed to have more on offer, apart from space.
